Evolve Stone expressed interest in growing their search engine optimization (SEO) efforts to help their website drive more organic traffic. To start, ER Marketing was asked to rank for the keyword “mortarless stone veneer”, identify other high-value keywords and perform a topic analysis.
ER Marketing provided SEO research in the execution of the blog, “A Quick Guide to Mortarless Stone Veneer Solutions and Benefits”, targeting “mortarless stone veneer”. After the blog was published on November 24, 2020, the blog started to climb in rankings and by March of 2021, it started to rank on the first page of search engines, averaging the 10th position. From there, ER Marketing recognized the blog’s ranking potential and suggested reoptimizing it with graphics, images and refreshed copy, based on competitor and current search landscape. By August of 2021 the blog ranked in the 4th position on Google for the client’s target keyword, 3rd position for “easy install stone veneer” and 4th position for “mortarless exterior stone veneer”. This is in addition to 64 other relevant keywords garnered from the blog ranking with several others landing on the 2nd and 3rd page of search results.
From November of 2020 to mid-August of 2021, the blog has generated 867 organic sessions on the site. The blog continues to see increased traffic and is the third-highest performing organic landing page for the site with an average of 87% of organic visits coming from new users and over a minute and a half average session duration. The blog also gained traction on Google Discover and saw a large surge in impressions and clicks on Google search in June of 2021, which has remained consistent.
