Google is adding two new reports in Search Console that provide site owners with more data on video search results.
The reports are designed to help SEOs and site owners learn more about the performance of video content in search results, as well as identify ways to improve video markup.
There are three main ways that searchers come across videos in Google:
- The main search results page
- The ‘Videos’ tab in search results
- Suggested content in the Google Discover feed
Search Console will now report on the performance of video content in each of these areas. Here’s more information about the new reports being added.

Sites that use structured data to mark up their videos will now see a new report in Search Console called “Videos.”
Like other Search Console reports, the Videos report shows errors and warnings for markup implemented on a website. It also shows pages that have error-free video markup.
In addition to identifying errors, the Videos report can be used to validate a fix when an error is resolved by triggering Google to re-crawl the affected page.
