Your 2019 Digital Marketing Strategy Plan

It’s time to put the finishing touches on your 2019 internet marketing strategy. Before doing so, look over it to make sure that your plan includes the following components:

    Be Clear About Your Goals

Every business shares the same goal: to grow. The vague wording of that phrase doesn’t provide much in the way of direction though. Instead, dig deeper and determine how much you want your business to grow. Look at your growth results so far and the tactics you’ve used to achieve them. Figure out which financial resources and time you’d need to devote to obtain these concrete goals.

    Pinpoint Your Key Performance Indicators

No matter how good your marketing strategy is, if you can’t measure its success, then it becomes difficult to work with. Key performance indicators — which are often referred to simply as KPIs — are the foundation of any measurement system. Establishing the metrics that you want to use to measure your marketing strategy by shows you those areas that need to be tweaked. Many businesses track at least the simple KPIs such as the number of visitors that land on your business’ website every month and the percentage of those who converted to a lead because they filled out a form. Additionally, tracking the number of those leads that actually converted to customers is also a basic KPI for most businesses.

    Focus Your Strategy

Determining where your business is in terms of internet marketing is the key to creating a strategy that leads to the growth you desire. At the very least, your website should be one of your business’ primary marketing and sales tools. It should be focused on attracting your target audience by using tactics such as blogging, search engine optimization (SEO), social media and pay-per-click (PPC).

Next, you’ll need to look at the tools you’re using to convert visitors. Maybe you need to overhaul your contact forms, freshen up your call-to-action or provide more special offers to get visitors to convert to paying customers.

Lastly, stay in touch with your customers. Ask them what they want and how they rate your business. Use multiple ways to interact with them via social media, email marketing and surveys to ensure that they become repeat customers and tell others good things about your business.

Make 2019 the year that you really focus on implementing a solid internet marketing strategy. The time and effort you spend integrating the above pointers will result in better growth for your business.
